From global business leaders to local small businesses
DropVault has withstood the most vigorous evaluation and testing from some of the most demanding clients.
In some cases, the evaluations lasted for more than a year and included monthly penetration and intrusion testing by some of the world’s leading security companies.
All just to make sure that DropVault is as impenetrable as we claim.
Listed below are some real customers and how they have used DropVault.

Global Airline
After more than a year of evaluation and testing, a major global airline chose DropVault to protect conversations and transactions between multiple partners around the purchase and leasing of multimillion dollar aircraft.
With a typical aircraft costing in excess of $100 million, and often involving sensitive political implications, the security, privacy, and integrity of these conversations and transactions are paramount.
The airline began using DropVault 3 years ago, and currently has members from more than 120 global partners, including 10 of the world’s top banks, who actively use DropVault to share documents and discussions.
Each partner has its own secure group channel, and all their documents are uniquely watermarked to keep track of who’s opening and sharing them. The same channels provide a secure space for the airline and the stakeholder team to have discussions in private and protect the sensitive IP.
Dynamic watermarking includes each user’s name, email address, IP address, and time/date. A Broadcast feature allows the airline to update all members simultaneously with the latest financial updates.
Small CPA Firm
This small CPA firm in Southern California was looking for a more secure way than email to communicate with its 500+ clients, and began using DropVault in 2022.
The firm now uses more than 500 portals, one for each client, to allow clients to securely upload tax documents and income statements, discuss tax and investment strategies, and returning completed tax returns back to the clients.
Using password or pin protected portals their clients can access their portal 24/7 from any phone, tablet or laptop using any browser which makes interacting with their clients friction-less and simple.
And with all records and discussions being stored indefinitely and securely, DropVault also helps the firm to comply with all Federal and state document retention rules.
Auto Marketplace
The well-known national auto shopping and comparison marketplace lists more than 3 million new and used vehicles at any given time, and also works with more than 30,000 car dealerships. That’s a lot of paperwork.
They were looking for a solution that would provide easy encryption for their existing consumer mobile app to secure car VIN, financial documents, and registration document uploads from their customers.
The client was able to connect their application directly to the Dropvault Portal API which permitted our server to accept documents and messages, encrypt them, and store back on the client’s cloud storage service. Documents could also be retrieved from storage, decrypted, and delivered back to the customer app.
The client’s customers were also able to sign into their DropVault portal, view any documents uploaded, and also engage with the client when clarifications were required.
Home Products Distributer - BEC
This provider of home products to the retail and building trade has over 2000 suppliers or vendors and makes invoice payments for supplies provided on a daily basis. Securing these payments and ensuring their reputation is important to them.
Email was considered their weak security link but by moving to DropVault the client was able to protect the process and ensure that all changes or payment requests would take place in a secure channel where user identities could not be compromised.
By moving their suppliers to a mix of DropVault portals and group channels they connetected each of their suppliers into a secure network where payment requests could be made and supplier account details updated securely
DropVault is also used by their senior management for all payment requests so that both the AP and management team have full visibility to all requests.
Texas Engineering Company - Work Permits
This Texas-based engineering company based employs contractors across multiple sites and has requirements to verify the employment status and personal details for every contractor.
Email was not an appropriate channel for handling these sensitive documents, especially with contractors using different email systems and with little or no understanding of encryption.
Moving from email to our secure portals gives each contractor a secure space to upload I9 Employment Eligibility Verification documents, proof of address, driving license, and banking details.
The same portals are also provided to every new starter and full time employee and linked to their personal email. It also provides a private space for all sensitive HR communications that’s separate from the corporate email & IT, and remains with the employee for their entire employment.
Financial Services Company - Private Board Room
A financial services company located in London requried a private and secure board room or senior management room to protect their sensitive high level discussions, documents, and decisions.
A major requirement was that any solution had be separate from their corporate email system so that discussions were protected, private, and privileged – even from their own IT teams – and that it be encrypted so that any breach of the app provider would not compromise the data.
The business uses our Group Channels configured as a virtual Boardroom to provide a secure space to discuss, share documents, make decisions, conduct and record votes etc.
These group channels support not just discussions and documents but also allow voting on any document or discussion, get sign off on reviews, assign tasks to teams, and manage reminders. Everything in these channels is secured and private by default, including all decisions.
Additional channels are created for special projects where everything related to that project is contained within this channel.
Real estate is a trillion dollar industry that’s also a magnet for cyber criminals, scammers, and fraudsters.
For wealth managers and their clients it’s more than just about building wealth – It’s about building a trusted relationship where privacy and confidentiality are assured.
Boardroom discussions, whether formal or informal, should always be secure, confidential, and protected. Even from internal observers.
